We would like to say a huge thank you to Southern Water for their generous donation of £500 towards The Happy Hub. We are looking forward to buying some lovely new things to improve the space and make it a calming, welcoming and supportive environment for the children.
A huge well done to Years 1 and 2 for last week when we met Commonwealth Gold Medalist and Gymnast Courtney Orange. Final chance to bring in any sponsorship money today! So far we have raised over £1000 which the school will be able to use to buy some new sports equipment. Well done Field Place!
As a part of our beach topic, Year 2 walked down to Goring seafront and enjoyed creating land art, taking part in beach games and eating ice creams. Even though the sun didn’t shine on us all day, we had a great time enjoying fresh air and playing with our friends!

We had a great day to mark the end of our Superhero learning! We dressed up as our favourite superhero and turned our school into a superhero school! We practised our super strength and agility on the trim trail, our super vision and memory skills playing ‘Kim’s game’ and our superhero intelligence by completing a quiz on purple mash! We all passed and earnt a superhero certificate for our achievements. Look out for our Supertato stories on the year one display! Check out some photos in our gallery!
On Tuesday 13th June, all of Year 2 attended the Legacy Games at Durrington Junior School. The children did exceptionally well in the heat, taking part in tennis, zumba, athletics and parachute games. A team of 10 children took part in the Endball competition and came in 4th place. Our fantastic relay team did amazingly well and were the winners! Well done to all the children who took part and a huge congratulations to the relay team!

After a busy week Year 2 had some special extra playtime, including games, music and a conga! Well done to all the children for their hard work.
Our team of 7 boys competed in the KS1 football festival on Wednesday 19th April. They did so well in the rounds, scoring lots of goals. Reuben received the coaches player award for his many goals scored! The team did well not to concede a single goal! They won their semi-final, going on to compete in the final match. At the end of extra time, the game ended 0-0. Arthur did well to save a penalty. Field Place were joint winners of the Football Festival, sharing the trophy! Well done boys!
We are so proud of our incredible dancers for their beautiful performance at the 'Time to Dance' showcase at Worthing Pavillion. They worked so hard on this dance and loved every second! Click here to see more photos.
Today 14 lucky children (and a couple of lucky teachers too!) were invited to Orchards Junior School to take part in a very special visit from Julia Donaldson. Julia performed some of her wonderful stories with the help of all the children and adults, sung songs and answered some questions about her new stories. We then got to act out The Smeds and The Smoos… brilliant! It was a very special and inspiring opportunity to meet one of our writing heroes in real life.
All children in reception, year one and year two visited the library this week. We all had a great time, sharing new stories and returning to old favourites!
